Family Reunion

Ok, so we're back from North Carolina, and I simply MUST tell you that it was just like going home again!  I mean, it was like we'd never been gone a minute, if you don't count the fact that we've all gotten 13 years older, LOL!!!  When we first got there, I almost started to cry the second I laid eyes on Mom and Dad, and Liz - well, I wanted to hug her so hard was afraid I'd break her in half, LOL!!!  The visit was just amazing - we got to catch up and take lots of pictures, and see some things from back in the day, and reminisce....  you know how it goes!  And, my son got to spend some wonderful (albeit short) face time with his dad, stepmom, and two other sisters - who are about the cutest things you've ever seen I might add.  And I will have you know - it was not awkward at all - even pal-ing around with Tyler's stepmom.  She's a great lady, and a fantastic mother to my son when he's with her.  I couldn't have picked a nicer person.  Everything happens for a reason, and even though divorce is never an easy or pleasant experience, I truly believe in my heart that God knew what he was doing.  My ex and his wife are perfect for each other the way that Kurt and I are perfect for each other, and I'm so glad our lives have come to the place that we're in now.  I'm just hoping that things continue to grow and stay a warm and loving environment for everyone!

I do have lots more pictures, but hey, I'm doing laundry at the laundry mat right now, so what do you expect, LOL!!!  Promise to try to share more later!

Anyway, just wanted to share with you guys how great the trip was, even though the drive home took 3 1/2 hours longer than expected :)

OMGosh!! That was the best visit ever!! You are so right about Erin. She is Chuck's perfect match. I am so glad that you had such a good time. We can't wait for y'all to come back for Christmas. I am looking forward to meeting Kurt and seeing Andria. :o) ^hugs & kisses^
